Trio charged in ambush killing of Hugo Rodriguez in Carmelita

By Aaron Humes: Following the shooting death of Hugo Anibal Rodriguez on Sunday, December 17, today, Tuesday, police formally arrested and charged Osmar Chiac, 19-year-old Belizean construction worker; Twyford Bradford Smith Jr., 21-year-old Belizean construction worker; and Austin Alexander Conorquie, 24-year-old Belizean construction worker, all of Carmelita Village, Orange Walk District, jointly for the crime of Murder.

At least two of the trio are accused of engaging in an argument with Rodriguez at a village shop on Sunday night, then following him home and ambushing him, leaving him for dead with gunshot wounds.
