Ladyville man who allegedly stabbed up his wife remanded to prison after failing to meet bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Gabriel Mai, 36, a Ladyville resident was remanded to the Belize Central Prison on Wednesday after failing to meet bail for allegedly stabbing his wife multiple times.

Mai appeared in court unrepresented and was read a single count of dangerous harm upon his wife. No plea was taken from him due to the nature of the offense.

He was offered bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety of the same amount, which he was unable to meet. He was remanded to prison until March 13.
