Belize congratulates Taiwan on peaceful Presidential elections

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister of Belize John Briceño has extended congratulations to Taiwan on its peaceful democratic elections.

“Belize extends best wishes to current Vice President Lai Ching-te of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) who was declared victor in the presidential race, garnering an unprecedented third consecutive term for his party,” PM Briceño said.

“We look forward to our continued friendly and mutually beneficial bilateral relations and partnership,” the Prime Minister added.

Taiwan’s ruling Democratic Progressive Party pulled off a historic third consecutive presidential victory with Vice President Lai.

Lai declared victory while his two opposition rivals conceded defeat.
