By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Empowerment Women’s Group from Santa Martha Village in the Orange Walk District participated in a training session on the requirements and processes involved in establishing a cooperative.
The session, which was spearheaded by Co-operatives Officer Francis Vega, covered topics on legal requirements, organizational structures, and how a co-operative can be a powerful tool for economic empowerment.
A total of 12 women actively participated in the training, showcasing their commitment to gain valuable insights into the cooperative formation process.
Resilient Rural Belize Extension Officer Cornelio Tzib was also present for this training.
