Belize represented at Ministers of Education Conference in Chile

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology Louis Zabaneh is in Chile participating in the Santiago 24 – Ministerial of Education Conference. 

It is an extraordinary meeting of the Ministers of Education of Latin America and the Caribbean focused on developing a regional framework for education reactivation, recovery and transformation. 

The meeting convened the high authorities of the region in education to address and exchange policy experience and to explore deepening the joint efforts to advance education in this region. 

The Ministry noted that with support of #UNICEFBElize and in collaboration with UNESCO, ECLAC, World Bank the focus is to support countries to move “from commitments to action” recognizing education as a fundamental right of children and a critical development tool.
