Complainant drops assault charge against Jahleel Craig

By Aaron Humes: 20-year-old Jahleel Craig was back in court on Wednesday where one of his two charges for aggravated assault was dropped.

Craig is accused of pulling a gun and shooting at two men last week in the City only to see the gun snap twice.

One of the alleged victims, 23-year-old Norris Patnett, appeared before a Senior Magistrate and requested no further court action against Craig. He affirmed under questioning that he was not forced, threatened, or promised anything by anyone to withdraw the charge and he is doing so of his own free will.

However, the other count of aggravated assault upon Norman Grant remains and so Craig was further remanded to prison until his next court date on March 28, 2024.
