Punta Gorda man charged for possession of crack pipe in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: 45-year-old Eugene Ramirez, a labourer and a resident of New Site area, Punta Gorda Town, Toledo District, has appeared before a Senior Magistrate where he was read a single charge of possession of a pipe.

Ramirez was found Wednesday morning at around 1:40 a.m., on North Front Street, Belize City by officers on mobile patrol.

Two men were walking on North Front Street when the officers stopped them and informed both men that a search will be conducted on them for drugs and illegal weapon. As a result of the search, police say they found a chrome metal pipe measuring 3 3/4 inches in the front pocket of his black jeans pants.

Ramirez pleaded guilty and was fined $300 and cost of court.
