By Jose Luis Cruz: Belmopan Baptist High School is currently seeking to fill two (2) key teaching positions at the school, providing a great opportunity for educational professionals who have great passion and are interested to work in a supportive and values-driven institution. The available positions are for a full-time Mathematics/Technical Drawing Teacher and a temporary Physical Education/Spanish Teacher, with the latter position being offered for a six-month period.
Candidates interested in applying must hold a minimum of an Associate Degree and have prior experience in their respective teaching areas. Essential skills for both positions include excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a willingness to work extra hours with students for their academic advancement, and a strong Christian background. The school emphasizes the importance of high moral values and the ability to lead by example, reflecting its commitment to holistic education.
The compensation for those employed will be in accordance with the Government Pay Scale and will take into account the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Additionally, all applicants are required to possess a valid Teacher’s License to be considered for these positions.
Application procedures for interested candidates are as follows: Submit a letter of application accompanied by a Curriculum Vitae, a recent Police Record, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and credentials verified by a Justice of the Peace. Additionally, two letters of recommendation are to be included in the application package, which should be addressed to the Principal of Belmopan Baptist High School, located in the Cayo District, Belmopan.
The deadline for submitting applications is set for February 23, 2024.
