By Aaron Humes: It has now been nearly three weeks since 57-year-old Corozal resident Teodoro Pacheco was last seen by his family.
The last update on the case came from Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, who told reporters on February 9 that the search was now extended outside his native Corozal: “The police have been working diligently with the family to conduct searches in and around Corozal and Orange Walk. I think on one occasion the search went all the way down south because there was some information that the taxi man may have been down south.”
Pacheco’s common-law wife told police that he left to do taxi runs in his gold Toyota car on January 31 and has not been seen or heard from since. The Commissioner said that so far nothing has turned up: “But so far we have not been able to obtain any credible information in terms of the whereabouts of [Pacheco]. And I would like to ask the public that if they have any information that may be able to assist the police in locating [Pacheco], to please feel free to call the 911 number or the 922 tips number and provide the information.” Police previously said they had not found anything so far suggesting he had come to harm.
Pacheco is Hispanic, clear-skinned, of medium build, six feet tall, and weighing 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green polo shirt and long black pants.
If you know his whereabouts, contact Corozal Police or 922.
