Accused killers of Delroy Menzies charged with murder

By Aaron Humes: Police have announced the arrest of two men in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Delroy Menzies in Dangriga Town on Thursday.

On Saturday police officially arrested and charged 28-year-old Egbert Bernard Martinez and 21-year-old Maxwell Karl Ventura with murder.

On Thursday, February 22, at about 9:20 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired at the corner of Plum and Grapefruit Streets in Dangriga Town. Upon arrival, they discovered the motionless body of Menzies, from Wagierale Area, Dangriga Town, on the veranda of a business establishment.

Initial information revealed that Delroy Menzies was on the veranda of the establishment when a male person approached the establishment, pointed a firearm at him, and fired three shots, fatally wounding Menzies.
