Belize Women’s National Team play friendly match against Motlow State Community College Saturday night

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) play the first of two friendly matches against Motlow State Community College from Tennessee on Saturday night at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence.

According to the FFB, the match is scheduled for 7:30 pm. Tickets cost $10.00.

An added attraction is that BWNT playmaker Kaite Jones will be playing for her Motlow, where she is currently studying.

“I am looking forward to having so much fun with my teammates in my home country. I can’t wait,” Kaite said according to a post by Motlow State.

The second friendly is set for Friday, March 8, at 8:00 pm at Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro.

The BWNT, which started training on February 23, are preparing for the Concacaf Women’s Nations League. This year the BWNT is competing in League B after winning their League C group undefeated last year over Aruba, Bonaire, and Turks and Caicos Islands. The Concacaf Women’s League will run from June to November.
