Alleged purse snatcher out on $2,000 bail

By Breaking Belize News Staff: An alleged purse snatcher who got away with items to a total value of over $1,600 is out on bail.

Julian Woodeye, 23, a construction worker of a Plues Street address appeared in court unrepresented and was read a single count of theft. Hd pleaded not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one suety of the same.

According to reports, on March 2, Woodeye allegedly stole a woman’s purse that contained $425 in Belize currency, a cell phone and $390 in US currency to a total value of $1,616.35.
