Citrus Products of Belize Limited (CPBL) and the Christian Workers Union (CWU) have finalized and signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The CBA is valid for a period of four years, from 2021 to 2025, provided that no other union obtains representational rights during this time. The signing event occurred in Belmopan at the Ministry of Labour conference room.
The main goal of this agreement is to maintain and enhance the positive working relationship between CPBL and
CWU. It places significant emphasis on safeguarding the welfare and interests of CPBL’s dedicated staff.
The Ministry of Labour congratulates both CPBL and CWU for successfully reaching this timely consensus. The commitment demonstrated by all parties throughout the negotiation process reflects a spirit of goodwill.
Furthermore, the Ministry remains committed to collaborating closely with employers and employees countrywide, promoting good industrial relations, fairness, impartiality, and tripartism for the benefit of all involved.
