Tut Bay beat West Lake 2-1 in William Dawson Peace Cup

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Tut Bay defeated West Lake 2-1 in the second match of the William Dawson Peace Cup on Sunday at the MCC Grounds in Belize City.

For Tut Bay, the win was their sixth of the season. Meanwhile, for West Lake the loss was their fifth. West Lake’s weekend was 50-50, as they won 4-1 over Ebony Lake on Saturday before falling to Tut Bay on Sunday.

Esmond Sanker opened the scoring in the 15th minute to put Tut Bay up 1-0. However, Delroy ‘Thinman’ Andrews drew level for West Lake in the 31st.

Tut Bay went ahead when Tyrone Guy broke the deadlock in the 48th minute.

Tut Bay coach Ali Thurton played his cards right making the appropriate changes in the second half leading Tut Bay to the 2-1 victory.
