Candlelight Vigil held in honor of Laura and Megan; Belmopan Mayor recognizes unsung heroes

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: A candlelight vigil was held last night at the Belmopan Market Plaza in honor of Laura and Megan who lost their lives on March 12.

Mayor of Belmopan City Pablo Cawich recognized Cpl. Allim Lopez, Ronaldo Logan – Co-Manager, and Erlin Martinez, a staff member at Belmopan Market Plaza, for their brave and prompt efforts in apprehending the perpetrator behind the alarming incident.

“The outpouring of love and support from the community during the vigil is a testament to the strength and unity. Together, we stand as a beacon of strength for those affected by this heartbreaking event,” the Belmopan City Council expressed.

May the memories of Laura and Megan continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
