Belize Weather: Hot, hot, hot entering weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mainly fair, hot and dry weather continues to prevail according to the National Meteorological Service.

The 24-hour forecast is for mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Expect little to no rainfall.

Today’s high temperatures will be 92 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 103 degrees Fahrenheit in inland areas and 89 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be southeasterly at five to 15 knots and seas choppy. A heat alert is in effect for inland areas; residents should stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity, particularly in the afternoon.

Tides will be high at 9 a.m., then a low tide at 2:43 this afternoon and high at 8:50 this evening. The sun sets at 6:04 this evening and rises at 5:54 Saturday morning.

Fair and warm weather continues into Saturday with only isolated showers.
