Posted: Wednesday, April 3, 2024. 10:31 am CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a heat alert advisory as inland temperatures soar to over 100 degrees.

The weather forecast is for generally hot and dry weather to continue.

Residents, especially those inland, should stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible this afternoon.

You are encouraged to seek shade to stay cool, wear light clothing, use umbrellas or hats and monitor children and elderly persons during these hot days.
