Belizean volleyball player Kaelen Ingram to play for Miami’s St. Thomas University Bobcats

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belizean volleyball player Kaelen Ingram has signed to play for the St Thomas University Bobcats volleyball team, according to the BK Sports Group.

Ingram is making the move from Edward Watters University (EWU) in Jacksonville, Florida, where he has starred for the team, to St Thomas University in Miami.

Ingram is expected to complete his undergraduate degree at St Thomas University in 2025 and will then move up to his graduate degree there as well.

“I want t thank EWU for all the support and the love they have shown me. I am excited to see where God leads me in this next chapter,” Ingram said as he announced that he had decided to enter the Transfer Portal for his Senior Year with two years of eligibility.

Ingram also thanked God for allowing him to play the game he loves and his family and friends for the support in what he termed ‘an amazing journey’.

When, Ingram won the bronze medal with the Belie Men’s Volleyball Team in the 2023 AFECAVOL Men’s Volleyball Central American Cup in August 2023, he became the first Edward Waters volleyball player, male or female, to earn an international medal for his country.
