Eugene Gabourel shot in Belize City

By Aaron Humes: A Belize City mechanic was attacked in his yard on Sunday night.

According to police, 47-year-old Eugene Gabourel was fixing a vehicle in front of his residence in the CET Site in Belize City and socializing with other individuals. Two dark-skinned men in dark clothing and faces covered exited a nearby yard and began firing at Gabourel, injuring him to the body.

The shooters were joined by four other men who fled the scene while Gabourel was transported to the hospital. Investigations continue.
