Belize City double murder is second such incident in a week

By Aaron Humes: For the second time in nine days, there has been a double murder, this time in Belize City.

The victims have been identified as Marvin Pook and Anthony Young of Belize City.

This follows the double murder of 47-year-old Saida Perez and 49-year-old Morcel Neal on May 5 in Roaring Creek, Cayo District.

Reports from the area tonight say the men were shot at at a residence on North Creek in Belize City.

One reportedly died on the spot while the other died receiving treatment in transit to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

The police investigation continues into what are now the fourth and fifth murders for May and the 45th overall for the year.
