Diddy apologizes for brutally beating singer Cassie in leaked video footage

Posted: Sunday, May 19, 2024. 12:56 pm CST.

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Embattled mogul and music icon, Sean “Diddy” Combs, also a friend and former financier of Opposition leader Shyne Barrow, has issued a public apology for physically assaulting singer Cassie Ventura after leaked video footage obtained by CNN corroborated claims made by the singer in a lawsuit last year.

In the footage, Cassie is seen walking down a hotel hallway as Diddy chases behind and physically assaults her, beating her to the ground before kicking her. The footage appears to corroborate claims made by the singer in a lawsuit filed last year, which was settle by Diddy and his legal team the very next day after it was filed.

Diddy posted his apology via Instagram on Sunday morning. It is also of note, that due so much time having passed since the incident, police are unable to charge Diddy with any crime for the assault caught on tape.

Ventura’s suit made many other disturbing allegations, which have not been substantiated but in the wake of that suit, another lawsuit against Diddy has been filed by one of his former producers. Several of Diddy’s houses have also been raided by the FBI and a man purported to be Diddy’s alleged drug mule has also been arrested and given a plea deal.

Diddy’s name and reputation have fallen from grace since the allegations and raids at his homes. It is unclear if an active investigation against him is underway or if any arrests will be made involving any of the claims against him but his popularity and status as a global music icon have been affected by the series of disturbing allegations.
