Santa Cruz murder: Brothers in fatal altercation as Eladio Ramos dies

By Aaron Humes: A Stann Creek District man was shot dead, apparently by his own brother, on Sunday in the village of Santa Cruz, Stann Creek District.

Brothers Eladio and Selvin Ramos got into a fight after the former returned from an errand and it escalated to the use of an unlicensed firearm, as detailed by ACP Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division: “Investigation revealed that Eladio Ramos had a fight with his brother Selvin Ramos who got a shotgun and fired the fatal shot towards him. Selvin Ramos is in custody, statements were being recorded and this matter will be sent to the DPP for directives.”
