Bush fire threatens Caves Branch Outpost

By Aaron Humes: A reader has informed Breaking Belize News that assistance is needed to fight a bush fire nearing Caves Branch outpost off the George Price Highway.

We understand that the fire line is getting closer to the zipline area and on the entrance and exit driveway.

The Fire Service was called around midday this afternoon but reportedly have yet to respond.

Fires are raging across much of the West and South as one of the hottest and driest months on record comes to a close.
