By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The San Antonio Village Council informed all villagers last night that the water system had been restored.
For more than 10 days, the San Antonio Village Council, NEMO, APAMO, Belize Forest Department and volunteers have been battling fires.
The Village Council noted that the rangers at the Elijio Panti National Park are monitoring the threat of the fire to the water system.
One of the rangers, Aurelio Garcia suffered an accident on Tuesday due to fatigue and exhaustion.
“Help support our heroes that are giving all of their life to help battle out this wild fire,” the council said.
The council recognized all volunteers and thanked them for their ongoing assistance battling the fires.
