Cyclist ambushed in Belize City morning shooting

By Horace Palacio: A Belize City cyclist, Erwin Hamilton, was shot twice during his morning commute on Faber’s Road near the YWCA. The incident occurred early this morning, leaving Hamilton with gunshot wounds to his arm and foot.

A passing taxi driver promptly transported Hamilton to the Port Loyola Clinic for emergency medical treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the shooting and are asking members of the public with any relevant information to contact the police.
