By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Weather experts have issued a tropical storm warning for the northeastern coast of Mexico.

Tropical Cyclone 1 is now located over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico and has an eighty percent chance of formation through the next 48 hours.

Heavy rains have flooded several parts of Mexico and local authorities have issued advisories.

Elsewhere in the Atlantic, an area of showers located several hundred miles east of the Bahamas is associated with a surface trough and an upper-level area of low pressure.

Environmental conditions could be conducive for some gradual development of this system during the next few days while it moves westward or west-northwestward. This system has a twenty percent chance of formation through the next 48 hours.

And, another broad area of low pressure is forecast to develop over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico this weekend.

Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development of this system early next week while it moves slowly northward or northwestward.

This system is not forecast to form through the next 48 hours.
