Construction worker granted $2,000 bail for handling stolen goods

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Josh Nicholas Flowers, 26, a construction worker from Consuelo Street, is out on bail after being accused of handling stolen items from a burglarized house.

Flowers appeared in Court #3, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of handling stolen goods. Allegedly, on July 5, 2024, he assisted in disposing of $3,930 worth of items, including a drill, a flat-screen TV, and various tennis shoes. Flowers claimed he was wrongfully charged as no stolen items were found with him.

The Magistrate granted him bail of $2,000 with conditions, including no contact with the complainant or witnesses and no further offenses. Flowers’ next court date is set for August 16, 2024.
