By Breaking Belize News Staff: Tylor Malcolm, 23, of Bladden Street, Belmopan, has pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining money transfer by deception. Malcolm, a former Transparent BPO employee, appeared in Court #3 on Monday while already serving a six-month sentence for another offense.

Malcolm admitted to deceiving Yongbo Tan and Denise Gabourel out of $1,000 and $450, respectively, on June 30 and June 26, 2023. The court considered his guilty plea and ordered his new three-month sentence to run concurrently with his current term, making his earliest release date October 14, 2024.

The fraud involved Malcolm promising Tan an iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was never delivered. Malcolm confessed to spending the money without providing the product.
