By Aaron Humes: Police say they have detained four persons following a bust of just over a quarter ton of marijuana in Southern Belize.
On Tuesday morning, police searched a residence on George Price Drive, Dangriga Town.
Officers searched three houses in a yard, in the presence of 53-year-old Dennis Robinson of Dangriga Town, and three other individuals.
As a result, they discovered 228.456 kilos (503.6 pounds, 0.2518 tons) of suspected cannabis, one .223 live rounds of ammunition, and 170 grams of crack cocaine.
All four persons including Robinson are detained pending investigations.
