By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan Dr. Candice Pitts delivered a lecture to 50 participants of the 2024 International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program hosted by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign affairs.
The 50 Youth Ambassadors are preparing for a 5-day visit to Belize at the end of August.
Ambassador Pitts discussed important features of the diplomatic relationship between Belize and Taiwan, gave insights into Belize’s history, cultures, and tourism, and even shared some nuances about Belize’s society and people that she believed they should understand.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs implemented the International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Program in 2009, which has since provided training and experience in international affairs to approximately 1,800 young people.
The Embassy of Belize extended well-wishes to the participants for a meaningful, enjoyable, and fruitful visit to Belize.
