Belize Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures

By Horace Palacio: For today, August 6, 2024, the National Meteorological Service of Belize forecasts mainly fair and warm weather conditions across the country.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny throughout the day, with clear to partly cloudy conditions developing tonight. While showers or thunderstorms are possible, they are expected to be isolated. Temperatures along the coast will range from a high of 91°F (33°C) to a low of 83°F (28°C). Inland areas will experience warmer temperatures, with highs reaching 96°F (36°C) and lows around 75°F (24°C).

Mariners can expect easterly winds blowing at 5-15 knots, resulting in slight sea conditions with waves ranging from 1-3 feet.

The Meteorological Service is monitoring a tropical wave located over the east-central Caribbean Sea. While this wave is expected to move westward, the likelihood of development within the next 48 hours remains low. No other tropical cyclone formation is expected in the region during this period.

A similar weather pattern is expected to continue into Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures prevailing.

High tides are expected at 10:53 AM and 11:47 PM today, while low tides will occur at 5:59 PM today and 5:33 AM tomorrow. The sun rose at 5:33 AM and will set at 6:23 PM today.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, especially during peak sunshine hours.
