United States of Trinidad beat Louisiana Area’s Netherlands 6-2, lead New Horizon Sporting Club’s Mundialito undefeated in 8 matches

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The United States of Trinidad continue atop the standings of the New Horizon Sporting Club’s Kevin Bernard Mundialito after recording their eighth consecutive victory on Sunday, August 4, at the Louisiana Football Field in Orange Walk.

The United States tripled up on Louisiana Area’s Netherlands 6-2 and have now won 24 points, five more than second-place Italy.

The United States’ goals came from Ervin Cardenas, Jaylen Hall, Jerrain Westby, Elon Castillo, Tamron Baptist, and an own goal by Rigel Ortiz. John Gideon scored the Netherlands’ two goals.

Second-place San Estevan’s Italy retained their rank with a 6-0 pounding of Sandy Field’s Brazil. Yunior Cruz scored a brace while Kaydraun Cadle, Jamid Muniz, Adrian Hernandez, and Aiden Andrades scored one each.

Third-place Yo Creek wiped Black Water’s Mexico 6-0 on a brace each by Antuan Gonzalez and Edwardo Cowo and a goal apiece from Jose Acosta and Ismael Sanchez.

Meanwhile, Croatia of San Jose defeated Orange Walk Central’s Germany 2-1. Ricardo Blanco and Walmer Cordova scored for Croatia while Javan Lambey struck for Germany.

The final week of the regular season will be played on Sunday, August 11.
