Ministry of Economic Development and Taiwan Embassy discuss collaborative projects

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On August 6, 2024, representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development met with representatives from the Taiwan Embassy in Belize to discuss future collaborations and project efficiencies.

Carlos Pol, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Economic Development, was joined by Leroy Martinez, Acting Director of the Climate Finance Unit, and Ableardo Mai Jr., the focal point for CABEI, for the pivotal meeting.

The Taiwan Embassy delegation included Wen Chou and Huang Jiunshen, who were introduced as the new portfolio manager for Belize.

The meeting centered on exploring ways to enhance and streamline the projects currently under consideration by Taiwan.

Discussions included strategies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness, with both parties expressing a strong commitment to advancing these initiatives.

Both parties committed to working together to maximize the success of these initiatives and strengthen the relationship between the Taiwan Embassy and the Ministry of Economic Development.
