Ministry of Agriculture hosts Annual General Meeting in Spanish Lookout

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Agriculture is currently hosting its two-day Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Heritage Building Conference Room in Spanish Lookout.

The AGM, which began today, is a key event where the Ministry and its Statutory Bodies present their 2023 accomplishments and outline their expectations for 2024/2025.

The Ministry says that during the first day, attendees received a comprehensive overview of the initiatives, challenges, and successes from the past year.

Additionally, the Ministry will share its strategic plans and goals for the upcoming period, ensuring transparency and alignment with national agricultural priorities.

Day 2 of the AGM will focus on the contributions of the Ministry’s partners in development.

Various organizations involved in the agriculture sector will present their highlights and plans of action for the coming year.

Each partner will showcase their achievements, share innovative projects, and outline their contributions and future plans aimed at advancing the agriculture sector.

“This gathering represents a significant opportunity for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning as the Ministry and its partners work together to strengthen and develop Belize’s agriculture sector,” the Ministry noted.
