Musician reports terrifying encounter with armed individual

By Aaron Humes: Musician Rolando Reyes of Curl Thompson Street, Belize City, told police he had a gun pointed at him on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Reyes at approximately 2:30 pm at the corner of Curl Thompson Street and an unnamed street, while standing with his bicycle, he noticed a man known to him approaching him from a distance of about 15 feet. Reyes described how he observed the man pull out a black firearm from his waistband and aim it in his direction.

Reyes promptly sought refuge at the Jane Usher Police Booth, where he heard his attacker make threatening remarks before riding off towards Curl Thompson Street.

Police are seeking one man in connection with this incident.
