Acquity BPO expands to Belmopan; a thousand new employment opportunities

By Aaron Humes, Belmopan: Business process outsourcing company Acquity BPO officially opened its office on the Hummingbird Highway here this morning, preparing to springboard new opportunities for residents of the capital and surrounding areas.

The company plans to hire as many as 1,250 employees for its various campaigns and support staff, joining the 250 already hired since the start of the year and those working at three locations in Belize City.

CEO Josh Grant says Belize is an ideal BPO destination due to its proximity and young, English-speaking population – but Acquity wants to defy suggestions that BPO work is dead-end with few opportunities to advance past call center work.

Indeed, Acquity manages and hires for long-term BPO campaigns with various skill sets, including billing, virtual assistance and entry-level customer care and response services in various industries. Grant says the average employee with bonuses and incentives can rise farther faster and be able to take advantage of their university degree to learn critical skills for the future.

Training is available weekly every Tuesday and Thursday.
