G-Flow’s Leon Leslie wins Weekend Warriors Saturday Cycling Race

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: G-Flow Cycling Club raked the top three spots in the 27-mile Weekend Warriors Saturday Cycling Race on the George Price Highway and the John Smith Road on Saturday, August 10.

In the Elite Category, Leon Leslie edged teammates Derrick ‘Baby Chav’ Chavarria (2^nd) and Jyven Gonzalez (3^rd), and 501 Valvoline’s Kenyon Sanford (4^th), who initiated the final attack a few yards away from the finish line ahead of Old Belize at Mile 5.

The race started at Mile 5 on the George Price Highway, headed to Mile 8, turned right onto the John Smith Road (also known as the Link Road), and turned at the Philip Goldson International Airport’s Roundabout. When the cyclists reached the Mile 8 Roundabout, they turned right towards the Hattieville Roundabout and returned to Mile 5.

Coye, Quiroz, Chavarria, Phillip Leslie, and Gonzalez were station prize winners.
