Belize Weather: Cloudy day ahead with showers and thunderstorms

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A relatively moist and unstable northeasterly airflow is expected to prevail in the region, bringing with it a forecast of cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thunderstorms according to the National Meteorological Service.

According to the 24-hour forecast, today will be cloudy at times, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms being generally isolated. A few more showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over the northern and central areas in the morning, inland in the afternoon, and over the south tonight.

Temperatures are forecasted to be around 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees inland, and 79 degrees in the hills.

Marine conditions indicate that winds will be easterly to northeasterly at 5-15 knots, with waves reaching 2-4 feet. The sea state is expected to be a light chop.

Tides will be low this morning at 9:00 AM, high at 2:38 this afternoon, and low again at 8:16 this evening. Today’s sunrise is at 5:35 AM, and the sunset is at 6:20 PM.

The outlook for the next day suggests that showers or thunderstorms will continue to be isolated, with a few developing over the coast and south areas late Monday night.
