By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Government of Belize is currently collaborating with the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network to host a 3-day workshop entitled “Peer Learning Forum: Alignment of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).”
Government representatives and experts from Belize, Benin, Burundi, Fiji, Haiti, Grenada, Madagascar, Nepal, South Sudan, and Suriname are engaging in discussion to provide advice and insights gained through experience to Government’s decision-makers on how to scale up climate adaptation plans while ensuring their alignment with Belize’s NDCs.
Belize’s policymakers want to learn from other countries that have already started developing and implementing their various climate change adaptation actions, including what strategies worked and which didn’t.
