Dr. Osmond Martinez to be sworn in as member of House of Representatives this afternoon

By Aaron Humes: Governor General Froyla Tzalam will swear in Dr. Osmond Martinez as area representative for Toledo East this afternoon in Belmopan.

Dr Martinez, the former CEO in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment, won a by-election in the constituency in July with 70 percent of the vote. He succeeds Michael Espat, who died in April.

Dr Martinez is also expected to join the Cabinet of Prime Minister John Briceño.
