Loaded “nine” removed from bus; two charged

By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested and charged two people for keeping a firearm and ammunition without a gun license.

On Sunday officers searched a bus at the Belmopan Bus Terminal and recovered a nine-millimeter pistol with ammunition from a school bag.

The owners, 31-year-old Nisani Garcia and 19-year-old Vevaney Nolberto, could not produce a license. Subsequently, police arrested and charged Nisani Garcia and Vevaney Nolberto for possessing a firearm and ammunition without a license.
