By Aaron Humes: Punta rocker Daniel Cacho, alias Lovaboy, is back in trouble with the law in the State of Washington.

Cacho, 42, was booked in July on a protection order violation and released on a $7,500 bond.

According to the South Whidbey News-Times, in February, Cacho and a female minor, 15, were accused of attempting to shoplift alcohol and then menacing an employee who came outside after them with a firearm.

The incident began when employees saw the minor loading liquor into a cardboard box in a shopping cart and pushing it out the door without paying. She ignored the employee who came out after her and Cacho came at him and they struggled while he was trying to retrieve the liquor. The girl was heard threatening to shoot the store worker and Cacho apparently pulled his firearm, as did the employee, forcing Cacho to back down. Police were called and the pair arrested at the ferry dock on the island.

They each appeared in court where bail was set for Cacho at US$50,000; the judge cited that “Cacho created a dangerous situation that nearly ended with shots being fired. She also said it was indeed troubling that Cacho was with a minor who he was not related to. He was accused of first-degree robbery, while the minor was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree theft. He was represented by defense attorney Matt Montoya. Police in the area claimed the two were suspects in multiple previous shoplifting reports in the area.

Cacho’s residence is given as Everett, Washington, outside Seattle.

We are told that Cacho was unable to perform at Chicago’s Belize Day recently because of this arrest. He has made no secret of his previous criminal background and back in 2019, saw charges of kidnapping and rape in Los Angeles dismissed.
