By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can anticipate a blend of sunshine and showers as lingering moist and unstable conditions influence the weather today. Although sunny skies will prevail, cloudy intervals are expected throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop, primarily in the southern and coastal areas this morning, before shifting inland by the afternoon.
As night falls, the skies will remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with a chance of a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the south and along the coast. Marine conditions will feature easterly winds at 5-15 knots, creating light chop and waves reaching 2-4 feet. Temperatures will stay warm, with coastal regions experiencing highs of 89°F and lows of 82°F. Inland areas can anticipate even higher temperatures, reaching 94°F, while the hills will be slightly cooler, with highs of 80°F.
Fortunately, the tropical weather outlook remains calm, with no tropical cyclone formation anticipated in the next 48 hours. Looking ahead to Friday and Friday night, cloudy spells will persist, accompanied by a few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms. Shower activity will generally be isolated throughout the rest of the day.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions when venturing outdoors.
