Premier League of Belize: Bandits seek first win against Wagiya Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belmopan Bandits are desperate for their first win of the season as they face Wagiya Sporting Club at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan at 7:30 pm on Saturday in the last week of the first round of the Premier League of Belize’s 2024-2025 Opening Season.

The Belmopan Bandits have again struggled this season and are currently sitting at the bottom of the table without a point. Despite their efforts, they have yet to secure a victory.

Wagiya SC, showing signs of improvement in recent matches, will look to capitalize on the Bandits’ struggles. Wagiya will be counting on Nigel Elijio, who has scored three goals so far, to give them their first victory after gaining a point last week in their 2-2 draw with the San Pedro Pirates.

Saturday’s match is crucial for both teams, who are eager to get out of the rut. This is their best opportunity to earn a victory.
