Guatemalan Otoniel Perez Mateo killed over a woman, police say

By Aaron Humes: A dispute over a woman may have led to the death of Guatemalan Otoniel Perez Mateo early on Sunday, according to police.

Perez Mateo was at home in Cotton Tree, Cayo District, when he went to answer a knock at his door. Two men began struggling with him and he was shot dead.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division, explained that the suspects are known to Police and were known to Mateo and that the killing was the culmination of a dispute over a woman.

Police investigations continue as they are looking for the two individuals.
