Police charge Gilbert Lightburn for Saturday night’s stabbing of three persons at Shisha nightcub on the Barracks

By Aaron Humes: Police say they have collared the man accused of starting a knife fight at Shisha Bar on Newtown Barracks on Saturday, but he managed to sneak a knife past them.

Gilbert Lightburn has been arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm of Ian Abraham, Javon Abraham and a third person.

The men had been drinking and got into an altercation inside the establishment. Lightburn allegedly produced a knife and inflicted the injuries as the fight spread outside.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero told reporters today that three police officers were assigned to the nightclub in addition to Shisha’s own personnel, but that Lightburn was still able to enter the nightclub with the weapon. He was not, however, able to evade the law.
