Young child critical after Belize City motorcycle crash

By Horace Palacio: A devastating motorcycle accident in Belize City yesterday afternoon has left a six-year-old girl fighting for her life. The collision, captured on video, occurred on Barrack Road as the motorcycle, carrying the child and an adult relative, attempted an ill-fated overtake.

The impact sent both riders flying, with the young girl, Emily Molina, suffering severe head injuries. Disturbing footage shows the aftermath, with the child bleeding profusely.

Both Emily and the motorcycle driver were rushed to Belize Healthcare Partners. Their conditions remain critical as of this morning.

Police are currently investigating the accident, and we expect more details to emerge throughout the day.
