Father, 48, is arraigned on two counts of incest against teenage daughter

By Aaron Humes: A father is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after he was accused of having sex twice with his young daughter, who is now 16.

The 48-year-old father appeared before a Magistrate in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court to be read two counts of incest. The resident of the Philip Goldson Highway is accused of twice, between 2022 and 2024, having sexual intercourse with his daughter while at their home.

The minor told her mother, who later told the police, that sometime in the month of September 2022 her father had sexual intercourse with her, and he did so again just last month.

Due to the nature of the offenses and seriousness of the allegations, no plea was taken from the father and no bail could be granted to him by the Magistrate and so he was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until November 27. The father was legally unrepresented.
