Fourth major road traffic accident of weekend sends Belize City man to hospital

By Aaron Humes: A three-vehicle collision this evening on the Philip Goldson Highway has sent one man to hospital, the fourth major incident reported this weekend.

Between miles 7 and 8 on the Philip Goldson Highway according to police, a gold Geo Prism is alleged to have collided side swipe with a black Nissan Rogue driven at the time by a resident of Biscayne Village, Belize District. It then collided head-on with a black Dodge Ram pick up truck driven by a resident of the Highway in Ladyville.

The driver of the Geo Prism, identified as Andy Hubert Parham of Belize City, sustained a head injury; he was transported to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

The other persons involved, who were not reported to be injured, were advised to visit the Ladyville Police Station to make a report. A police investigation is underway.
