By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Corozal Elite FC triumphed over Red Bank Scarlet Girls with a thrilling 3-2 victory in the Women’s National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (WNAIC) final at the FFB Stadium on Saturday, September 14.

Corozal Elite took an early lead with goals from Kaite Jones in the 31^st minute and Roshany Narváez just a minute later in the 32ndb This quick succession of goals put them ahead 2-0 at halftime. Despite a late effort from Red Bank, with Britney Zuniga scoring in the 86^th minute, Corozal Elite held on to secure the championship with a final score of 3-2.

Red Bank Scarlet Girls advanced to the finals with a 3-0 aggregate score, having defeated Las Flores 1-0 and 2-0 in the semifinals. On the other hand, regular season leaders Corozal Elite qualified for the final on a 4-3 aggregate score over Cattle Landing Dolphins. They won the first leg 2-0 but faced a tough challenge in the second leg, losing 3-2 but still advancing.

The victory marks a significant achievement for Corozal Elite, showcasing their resilience and skill throughout the tournament.
